How to Refresh the TereaTV EPG/TV Guide and Fix Time-Zone Issues

The TereaTV electronic program guide can display missing, delayed, or incorrectly timed information when the player has stale data or the device time zone is wrong. Use this guide to refresh the TV guide without changing unrelated settings.

Confirm the device date, time, and time zone

Open the system settings on the television, Fire TV, Android TV, phone, or computer. Enable automatic network time when it is reliable in your region, then confirm the time zone manually. Restart the device after correcting it.

Refresh the guide inside the player

Many compatible players include an option named Refresh EPG, Update TV Guide, Reload Data, or Sync. Run the update while the device has a stable connection and keep the player open until it completes. Avoid pressing the refresh option repeatedly.

Guide data is missing for one channel

If most channels show information but one does not, record the exact channel name and category. A single missing listing is different from a full guide that never loads. Check again later before resetting the whole player.

The guide is shifted by one or more hours

  1. Verify the device time zone.
  2. Check whether daylight-saving time changed recently.
  3. Return any custom EPG offset to zero for testing.
  4. Refresh the guide.
  5. Compare the same channel on another device.

Clear stale guide data carefully

Close the player completely and reopen it. If the problem remains, clear the player cache where supported. Clearing app data is a larger reset that can remove login information and preferences; use it only when you have the official credentials and installation instructions available.

Allow enough storage

Guide information, posters, search indexes, and temporary media data require free storage. Remove unused apps and downloads if the device is nearly full. Older Smart TVs and budget boxes may need more frequent restarts because they have limited memory.

Use a stable network during refresh

An interrupted guide update can leave incomplete data. Prefer Ethernet or strong Wi-Fi, pause large household downloads, and keep the device powered during the update. Review the TereaTV network guide if updates repeatedly fail.

Information to include in a support request

  • Device model and player version.
  • Country and selected time zone.
  • Whether the guide is empty or time-shifted.
  • One or two example channels.
  • Whether another device shows correct information.
  • The time of the latest guide refresh.

Send reproducible examples through official TereaTV support. Never include a full playlist address, username, password, or QR code in a public screenshot.
