Buffering does not always mean the service is unavailable. Wi-Fi coverage, device resources, player settings, VPN routing, and local network congestion can produce the same symptom. Use this sequence to isolate the cause efficiently.
1. Test more than one item
Try another live channel and one on-demand title. If only one item is affected, record its name and time. If everything is affected, continue with the network checks below.
2. Restart the shortest path
- Close the player completely.
- Restart the streaming device.
- Restart the router if other household users can tolerate a brief interruption.
- Open TereaTV and test again before changing additional settings.
3. Check the connection at the device
- Run a speed and stability test in the same room as the device.
- Prefer Ethernet for stationary televisions and boxes.
- Move closer to the router or use the appropriate Wi-Fi band.
- Pause large downloads, game updates, and cloud backups.
- Temporarily test without unnecessary VPN or filtering layers.
4. Check the device and player
Update the operating system and player, clear only the app cache when appropriate, and confirm that the device has free storage. Very old or overloaded devices may struggle with high-resolution streams even on a fast connection.
5. Send a useful support report
If the issue remains, send the device model, player name, connection type, affected content, approximate time, and steps already tested to official TereaTV support. Do not include your password in screenshots.
